Learnings from "Montessori School Education" by Maria Montessori

Image
Maria Montessori Montessori Education is founded on the concepts created by Maria Montessori, who started her first school in a Rome apartment block for children of low-income employees in 1907. "Casa dei Bambini," or "Home for Children," was the name of the school. This initial "Casa" was equipped with a teacher's table, a heater, a chalkboard, some seats, children's group tables, and a cupboard containing supplies produced by Montessori during her previous career as she investigated how to teach children with mental disabilities. Maria Montessori developed the tools after observing that students really seemed to grasp complicated concepts faster when all of their senses are engaged.  Personal hygiene (such as clothing and undressing) and environmental care (such as sweeping, dusting, and gardening) were among the tasks at this initial school.  They were free to wander around and play with the materials the rest of the time. Maria Montessori did n...

What Science Suggests about Learn with Passion

Experiments: Learning and brain  Learning occurs when new knowledge links with current memory in our brain. When we are motivated or enthusiastic, our brain functions considerably more efficiently. In a well-known research, American psychologist Hans Breiter subjected cocaine users to MRI scans.  The drug's influence captivated the addicts, and the researcher noticed a lot of activity in the Nucleus Accumbent. The same experiment was done with young guys and photographs of Porsche vehicles, which resulted in the same area lighting up. It didn't work when they used photos of a Daihatsu.  The brain produces the happy chemicals dopamine and endorphin, as well as other neurotransmitters, as soon as we perceive something good to happen. While dopamine and endorphin make us feel good, other neurotransmitters help us get knowledge from point A to point B. Learning occurs when fresh knowledge from outside the brain is combined with previously acquired memories inside the brain. W...

13 Study Tips: The Science of Better Learning

Image
Human brain has the capacity to memorize 2.5 petabytes of information, or roughly 3 million hours of YouTube videos. Here are some strategies based on generally accepted studies by neuroscientists and learning experts to help you use some of that astonishing capacity even more wisely when you study. Spaced Repetition Short yet frequent study sessions will help you get the most out of your learning. Synapses, the million billion linkages in your brain that help you remember and understand things, form primarily at night when you are sleeping, according to neuroscientists. This indicates that studying on a regular basis with sleep breaks in between is more effective. Give it a go! You'll be astonished at how far you've come in just a few weeks if you study anything for 15 minutes every day. Understand Your Own Study style Some students take brief notes while listening to the teacher, while others consume snack packets but remain concentrated. Some people prefer watching movies...
