Learning occurs when new knowledge links with current memory in our brain. When we are motivated or enthusiastic, our brain functions considerably more efficiently. In a well-known research, American psychologist Hans Breiter subjected cocaine users to MRI scans. The drug's influence captivated the addicts, and the researcher noticed a lot of activity in the Nucleus Accumbent. The same experiment was done with young guys and photographs of Porsche vehicles, which resulted in the same area lighting up. It didn't work when they used photos of a Daihatsu.
The brain produces the happy chemicals dopamine and endorphin, as well as other neurotransmitters, as soon as we perceive something good to happen. While dopamine and endorphin make us feel good, other neurotransmitters help us get knowledge from point A to point B. Learning occurs when fresh knowledge from outside the brain is combined with previously acquired memories inside the brain.
What's help to learn and what's not?

It works to learn if you've been excited about something for a long time or if you've been surprised. For example, when we are delighted to arrange a trip with our friends or when we have an unplanned and inspiring chat with a stranger, our brain produces a flood of neurotransmitters and we begin recording in high quality with all of our senses. To make it a creative and unforgettable experience, the neurons add existing data from the long-term memory. It's as if we've turned on a learning accelerator.
Learning like a kid, but Why?

And most kids are enthusiastic about everything until they are prevented from following their passions by their parents' or schools' standards. However, at 35, we have very little remaining to be enthusiastic about while learning a foreign skill in a dull class, and hence we acquire next to nothing. Prof. Hüther believes that any 75-year-old Chinese man who falls in love with a young 65-year-old British girl will be able to communicate in English quickly.
If you are able to constantly learn new things in an exciting way, the chemicals released in your brain are likely to outlive the pleasures of drugs or shopping.
